An oak tree drops the acorn, as a seed, is a symbol of growth and unlimited potential. It possesses the "oak knowledge" - or all that it needs within to create the mighty oak. The acorn teaches us about our own potential - how one acorn can grow into a massive oak and seed a whole forest.
About Us
We are local daughters.

We are a team of experienced Nurse professionals who are committed to our clients and their families. Our Nurse Care Managers can spot and anticipate issues to proactively avert a medical crisis or hospitalization preventing unnecessary trips from out of state family members.
Our Founder, Eileen Tollefson, RN, CCM has been actively involved in the South Florida Healthcare Field for over 30 years. She is nationally vetted and certified in Case Management and is eager to educate seniors and their families on the benefits of care management and how this valuable service can foster independence, dignity and peace of mind. Eileen is passionate about senior advocacy and providing personalized care as only a Local Daughter can.
EILEEN TOLLEFSON, RN, CCM FOUNDER
As Founder of Local Daughters, Eileen is a Registered Nurse and Nationally Certified in Case Management. Eileen has been active in the healthcare field for over 30 years, focusing on senior advocacy, senior communities and providing quality healthcare services. Her professional experience includes clinical operations as Administrator and Director of Professional Services for one of the nation’s largest home care organizations.

Eileen has conducted programs to educate caregivers and seniors and is an experienced Alzheimer’s trainer. She is eager to deliver the message of care management to all potential consumers, providing the resources that will be helpful to their unique situations while fostering independence, dignity and peace of mind.
